New Laptop - Toshiba Satellite U940-112

I bought  myself a new laptop this week, it's a Toshiba Satellite U940-112.

I thought about doing an unboxing video but doing that without a tripod would be very difficult so I will do a review instead.

I'm still trying to figure out if I like it or not.

Here are the specs:

  • Intel® Core™ i5-3317U Processor for Ultrabook™
  • 500 GB HDD
  • 32GB SSD(for system cache use only and not user accessible)
  • 4 GB DDR3 RAM (1,600 MHz)
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630M

  • the price was very good for this level of hardware.
  • It's light (1.7kg or 3.7pounds) and a decent size (14")

  • Windows 8 (comes pre-installed) sucks so much I can't even begin to describe it...
  • Toshiba preloads so much crap on the computer that you get a brand new laptop and when you look at the installed programs it feels like you bought a second hand computer from your retarded cousin...
I was looking for the best of two worlds, a small and light laptop that I can carry everywhere, to make my daily commute less boring and more productive and, at the same time I'm a gamer so I want something that can play some games. For 600€ I think I made a good choice.
My dislikes are all software related.(Read edit bellow) I'm probably just going to format it and install windows 7.

So apparently Toshiba thinks that people have more need for a key to raise or lower sound then they do for F9 or F10. And because of that instead of making the volume key "Fn+F9" they made it the other way around! you need to press Fn if you really want to press F9.
How anoying is that? Well imagine you're visiting a website and have the need to refresh it. If you're anything like me you would press F5. Well congratulations you just turned your track pad  off.
It's infuriating...Why on hearth would Toshiba do this?
